The legendary home of the Kentucky Derby, Churchill Downs, Inc., has reached agreement with Hollywood Park, Inc. to purchase its Inglewood racetrack and much of its surrounding acreage. The transaction will ensure that live horse racing will continue for the foreseeable future at the landmark Southern California track. The 240-acre acquisition includes the racetrack, training track, barns, racetrack parking lots and the Hollywood Park Casino. Churchill Downs will lease the casino back to Hollywood Park, which will continue to operate it as part of its casino gaming business.
