Sale Pending for Inglewood Hospitals |

| The sale of Centinela Hospital Medical Center and Daniel Freeman Hospital to a group of local physicians and investors has been announced by Tenet Healthcare. The transaction is expected to close by the end of November. They will be owned and operated by the newly formed Centinela Freeman Healthsystem.
Opened in 1924, Centinela Hospital is the medical facility to the stars -- not just stage and screen, but of field and court as well. It the official hospital for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Lakers, Clippers, Sparks and Avengers, and is often the “hospital of choice” for Hollywood Park as well. The 370-bed medical/surgery complex provides urgent care, women’s health-care, and other departments, including the Tommy Lasorda Heart Institute, Arthritis Institute, and Airport Medical Center. Opened in 1954, Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital is a 358-bed acute care hospital offering a wide array of greatly needed medical and surgical services, including cancer treatment, obstetrics, neonatal intensive care, pediatrics, neurology, neurosurgery, acute rehabilitation and emergency room services. Grounded in the tradition and history of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital operates in accordance with the ethical and religious directives of the Catholic Church. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the nation’s oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency. The transaction includes Daniel Freeman Marina Hospital, a 166-bed facility in Marina del Rey. |
